How the numbers are calculated
Sessions = sessions a week × people × years × 52. A year is 52 weeks. No holiday adjustment is applied.
Cost a session = (listed purchase + annual running cost × years) ÷ sessions. If the record has a low and a high price, both ends are shown. The purchase figure is price_estimate_low and price_estimate_high. When the listing text does not match those fields, the page says so and still uses the numeric fields.
Break-even visits = listed purchase ÷ the clinic price you are using, rounded up. Running costs are not part of that line. They are part of the cost a session over the period you chose.
Class mode uses the median listed low price. When the count is even, the median is the lower of the two central prices, so it is a price that appears on a listing. Verified prices are the pool when that class has any. 98 of 107 chambers have a numeric price. 38 of those are marked verified.
The clinic field starts at $150. That default is the median low end of published visit prices from 24 clinic listings. A range contributes its low end only. Monthly memberships, package totals, and non-USD notes are skipped unless the note already states a USD figure.
Sources
Chamber prices, pressure, and the verified flag come from the HBOT-Finder.com chamber database (107 chambers, 22 brands). Fields used: price_estimate_low, price_estimate_high, price_verified, price_display, last_verified_date, max_pressure_ata, chamber_type. The maintenance_annual_cost field is empty on every record, so running costs are not filled in for you.
Clinic prices come from the price_range text on clinic listings. Two notes that repeat verbatim are excluded: “$150–$600/session; contact clinic for current rates” and “$150–$300/session; packages available (10-session: ~$175/session, 20-session: ~$150/session)”. The rest of the directory is linked from the clinic index.

FAQ
Where do the chamber prices come from?
From the HBOT-Finder.com chamber database: 98 of 107 chambers have a numeric listed price, and 38 of those are marked verified. A verified price uses the record's price_verified flag and, when present, its last verified date. An estimated price is still a number stored on the listing. It is not a price we filled in for this calculator. Chambers with no numeric price are marked price on request and cannot be selected.
What clinic price does the comparison use?
The field starts at $150. That is the median low end of published visit prices from 24 clinic listings in our directory. When a listing gives a range, only the low end is used, so the default is a dollar amount written in the directory. Two price notes that repeat verbatim across many clinics are excluded, as are monthly memberships, package totals, and non-USD prices unless the listing already states a USD figure. The lows in that set run from $65.00 to a high end of $2,500. Replace the number with the clinic price you were quoted.
Does this include electricity, oxygen, or maintenance?
No published annual running cost is stored on the chamber records, so the default result leaves running costs out. You can type an annual figure. That number is yours. It is added across the years you chose and included in the cost for each session. The break-even line still uses the purchase price alone.
Are home sessions the same as clinic sessions?
No. The calculator compares money for a number of visits you choose. It does not compare oxygen dose, pressure, supervision, or outcome. A soft-shell chamber listed at 1.3 ATA is not interchangeable with a clinic protocol run at a higher pressure. Read the listed ATA on the model you pick.
Will this tell me how many sessions I need?
No. There is no condition menu and no session prescription. Ask your doctor. Condition guides on this site are background reading, not a dose.
Is the result sponsored?
Tool results are not sponsored. Featured placements are not inserted here. The concierge link is optional.
Not medical advice. Ask your doctor before starting hyperbaric oxygen therapy. These tools do not prescribe a session count or a pressure.
Want quotes on a model?
The concierge can ask manufacturers about a chamber you already priced here. That request is separate from this calculator.
